AAP activists arrested for ransacking check-post in MP
Neemuch (MP), Dec 29: Seven Aam Aadmi Party activists, including district coordinator Navin Agrawal and party workers Ashok Sagar and Akshay Dhangar, have been arrested for allegedly ransacking the 'integrated transport' check-post at Nayagoan on December 2.
The party, however, alleged that this was an attempt to shield the corrupt officials. Jawad police in the district arrested Agrawal and others last night for manhandling, preventing government officials from discharging their duty, threatening and under the provisions of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, District Superintendent of Police Manoj Singh said.

Local AAP unit had launched 'operation barrier' to expose corruption at the government check-posts. However, Nayagaon check-post in-charge D P Patel alleged that AAP activists were extorting money and stopped the officials from fining the overloaded vehicles, causing revenue loss.
The police also arrested AAP women cell's district coordinator Rajendra Kaur, Rizwana Khan, Chandresh Sen and Abdul Razzaq, taking the total number of arrested persons in the case to seven.
AAP's national spokesperson and Madhya Pradesh coordinator Alok Agrawal alleged in a statement here that the arrests was "an attempt to shield the corrupt persons".
