Aam Aadmi Party Wins Narmada; Arvind Kejriwal Says AAP Will Form Govt In Gujarat Too

Arvind Kejriwal has described the Aam Aadmi Party’s victory in Narmada district as the beginning of a major political shift in Gujarat. Speaking during a victory rally, Kejriwal claimed that the party would form a full-majority government in Gujarat in the 2027 Assembly elections, arguing that voters are now looking beyond traditional political parties and placing their trust in a new alternative.

According to Kejriwal, the result in Narmada is not just a local political development but a sign that the political atmosphere across Gujarat is changing. He said the outcome has created challenges for both the BJP and the Congress, while also strengthening the space for a third political force in the state.

Highlighting the role of tribal communities in the victory, Kejriwal credited Adivasi voters for backing the Aam Aadmi Party. He claimed that tribal voters had sent a strong message against the BJP through their votes. Calling the result a major setback for the ruling party, Kejriwal said the impact of this anger could soon spread to other tribal-dominated regions of Gujarat as well.

He further stated that growing support in tribal areas could become the foundation of the party’s future expansion in Gujarat. If the trend continues, Kejriwal believes the state’s political balance could change significantly, with the Aam Aadmi Party emerging as a strong force in several tribal constituencies.

During his speech, Kejriwal also repeated allegations against both the BJP and the Congress, accusing them of working together for political and business interests rather than public welfare. He alleged that BJP leaders avoid taking strict action against Congress politicians while targeting leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party.

Referring to Chaitar Vasava, Kejriwal said Vasava was jailed for several days, but voters responded through the election results. According to him, the public has shown that it will not accept politics driven by fear and intimidation.

Kejriwal also advised the newly elected AAP administration in Narmada to govern with honesty and transparency. He said the entire state, and even the country, would now closely watch the district’s administration. He urged party representatives to focus on development, education, healthcare, and basic public services.

He added that if the “Narmada model” delivers clean and effective governance, its impact could be felt across Gujarat and may eventually become the foundation of the Aam Aadmi Party’s campaign strategy for the 2027 Assembly elections
