AAP Leader Anurag Dhanda Condemns Khattar's Remarks On Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's Legacy

Anurag Dhanda, a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and national in-charge, strongly criticised Union Minister and former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Dhanda stated that Khattar's comments are intolerable and reflect the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) anti-Dalit mindset and hatred.

Dhanda accused the BJP of having a history filled with insults towards Dr. Ambedkar and the Dalit community. He recalled how Ambedkar was mocked in Parliament by being called "trendy." According to Dhanda, any attempt to undermine Dr. Ambedkar as the architect of the Constitution is a direct insult to Dalits.

Khattar's Remarks on Ambedkar

The AAP leader further alleged that BJP has tried to discredit judges from the Dalit community. He claimed that Khattar's recent questioning of Dr. Ambedkar's role is a continuation of this "vile thinking." Dhanda described Khattar's mindset as "extremely low and filled with hatred," accusing him of trying to weaken, divide, and strip Dalits of their rights during his tenure as Haryana Chief Minister.

Dhanda demanded an immediate apology from Khattar for his statement. He warned that if BJP supports Khattar's remarks, it would be evident that the party openly stands against Dalits and Dr. Ambedkar. The AAP leader emphasised that no one can belittle Dr. Ambedkar, who will always remain the Constitution's creator.

BJP's Alleged Anti-Dalit Stance

He insisted that leaders like Khattar only reveal their narrow-mindedness while Dr. Ambedkar's stature remains high forever. Dhanda asserted that Khattar’s comments expose both his limited mindset and BJP’s "abhorrent ideology." He stressed that Dr. Ambedkar was, is, and will always be recognised as the Constitution maker.
