Aaditya Thackeray Made Priyanka Chaturvedi MP Because of Her Beauty, Says MLA

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP, Priyanka Chaturvedi, on Sunday responded strongly to a statement made by MLA Sanjay Shirsat. Shirsat claimed that Aaditya Thackeray sent Priyanka Chaturvedi to the Rajya Sabha based on her appearance.

However, Shirsat clarified that this statement was originally made by Maharashtra politician Chadrakant Khaire, who had mentioned it in reference to Priyanka Chaturvedi and Aaditya Thackeray in the past.

This incident occurred after Priyanka Chaturvedi referred to the Shinde group MLAs as 'traitors' on Saturday. In response, Sanjay Shirsat retorted that Priyanka Chaturvedi had no right to label others as traitors since she herself had joined Shiv Sena after leaving the Congress.

Priyanka Chaturvedi strongly refuted Shirsat's statement, asserting that she does not need someone who has compromised their integrity to judge her appearance or determine her position. She also criticized the BJP for keeping Sanjay Shirsat within their ranks, stating that his views on politics and women reflect a widespread sickness, and his comments display a vulgar character.

Aaditya Thackeray also weighed in on the matter, expressing that people like Sanjay Shirsat do not deserve attention.

Priyanka Chaturvedi had joined Shiv Sena in 2019 after leaving the Congress, where she served as a national spokesperson. Her decision to switch parties was influenced by her discontent with the reinstatement of certain party workers in Congress who had mistreated her. In her resignation letter, she mentioned feeling undervalued and having reached the end of her journey with the party.
