Akhilesh Yadav Advocates Aadhaar Chip Integration to Ensure Fair Elections in India

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav emphasised the need for integrating Aadhaar cards with chips to prevent voting fraud. He suggested this measure to stop fake Aadhaar IDs from being used in elections. Yadav discussed election strategies with key party figures from Auraiya district, highlighting the importance of fair elections.

Yadav believes that conducting a caste census would ensure proper implementation of reservations. He stated that the unity and strength of the PDA community could address people's issues effectively. The PDA acronym stands for 'pichde' backward classes, Dalits, and 'alpsankhyak' minorities, a term Yadav has used since last year's Lok Sabha elections.

Focus on Election Integrity

During the meeting, Yadav highlighted the role of PDA members in helping the party secure more MP seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where they finished third. He stressed that their hard work was crucial to this success. "Aadhaar cards should be integrated with chips to prevent fraudulent votes from being cast by creating fake Aadhaar IDs," he reiterated.

The SP chief accused the BJP government of eroding equality, freedom, and brotherhood by spreading hatred in society. He claimed that there are deliberate efforts to undermine constitutional institutions' autonomy. "Well-planned conspiracies are being hatched to destroy the autonomy of all the constitutional institutions. The Election Commission itself has come under scrutiny," Yadav stated.

Strengthening Party Efforts

Yadav urged SP workers to expose what he called BJP's falsehoods through actions and reasoning. "In this context, the responsibilities of the SP workers have increased significantly. They must expose the BJPs lies through their actions and logic," he said. He also encouraged them to closely monitor voter lists and ensure their supporters' votes are added.

He emphasised strengthening the party's organisation from the booth level upwards. Yadav expressed confidence that SP would form the government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027, asserting that BJP's influence is waning. "The party workers must closely monitor voter lists and work to add the votes of their supporters. They must strengthen the organisation right from the booth level," he added.

Yadav's statements reflect his commitment to ensuring electoral integrity and addressing societal issues through strategic planning and community unity. His focus remains on empowering his party and its supporters for future electoral success.
