A village in Virbhadra Singh's Arki constituency to boycott polls
Residents of the Rauri village in the Arki assembly constituency, from where Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh will contest elections, have warned the authorities of boycotting the polls if their village is not shifted to a pollution free zone.

The village is located close to he factory of Ambuja Cement, which is said to be the main reason for pollution in the area.
Nearly 500 villagers have reportedly warned the authorities and politicians to either shift the village to a pollution-free zone or face election boycott.
A report quoted one of the residents of Rauri village as saying that people are suffering rom skin and respiratory diseases due to the dust and air pollution due to the factory.
They have demanded that the village be shifted to a pollution free region.
The elections for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly are scheduled to be held on November 9.
