A Video of Rhino Getting a Belly Rub From Cameraman Goes Viral

Rhinos are not naturally aggressive animals but they can be dangerous if they feel threatened or cornered.

They usually avoid confrontation and are known to charge at perceived threats, such as vehicles or people. Here is one video of the animal which has set the social media on fire.

In the viral clip, a rhino is seen walking straight up to South African filmmaker Garth De Bruno Austin while he is filming. What has surprised many is that instead of running away he bent down and gave a belly rub to the mammal.

However, this is not the new video as believed by many. The filmmaker had reportedly shared on his YouTube six years ago, but this footage is now going viral after a Twitter account named 'The Best' shared it.

The 15-second video, in a matter of two days, has amassed close to 29 million views.

Responding to the clip, a user on Twitter said, "Human/animal relationships and connections are remarkable." "If a rhino asks for anything, you'd best give it to em," the second one said.

"I do, but animals are often too wary to be listening for it. But most animals I find aren't looking to fight, they'll move toward you and if you back up, they see instantly you mean them no harm and they will either run in that moment or come to you like this," a netizen stated.

The fourth user stated that it "looks so dangerous" while another person added, "Don't try this at home - or anywhere for that matter."
