A Happy New Year 2024 For Zomato: Food Delivery Giant Achieves This Record

It was surely a 'Happy' New Year's Eve for Zomato as the food delivery app achieved a major feat. Breaking the roof, the delivery giant, registered a new record surpassing all its previous achievements collectively. According to the information shared by Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, on micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), Zomato received a whooping Rs 97 lakh as tips to riders on December 31.

Overwhelmed with customers' response and gratitude towards the delivery partners, Deepinder Goyal expressed his joy stating: "Love you, India! You've tipped over ₹97 lakhs till now to the delivery partners serving you tonight ❤️❤️❤️"

He also called the milestone as an incredible feat as Rs 97 lakh tip is higher than a collective record of tips received in 2015 to 2020 New Year's Eve. "Fun fact: We've delivered almost as many orders on NYE 23 as we did on NYE 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 combined 🤯 Excited about the future!" said Goyal.

A social media user responded to Zomato CEO's post saying "The Indian economy is really boosting, and I'm happy for restaurants. Hopefully, delivery boys will get some extra incentives, sir."
