A Day Delay! Narendra Modi Likely To Take Oath On Sunday
According to the reports, the National Democratic Leader (NDA) has named Shri Narendra Modi as their leader and he is likely to take the Prime Minister's oath on Sunday, June 9. Earlier, it was reported that Modi would swear in on Saturday, June 8, but the latest reports suggest that the program has been delayed by a day.
Modi and his cabinet tendered their resignation on Wednesday and reportedly submitted the letter to President Droupadi Murmu to form a new government. The President accepted his resignation as the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and directed him to continue as an active PM till the new government assumes office.

Also, it was learned that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who was likely to be sworn in as the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister on Sunday, will now take oath on Tuesday, June 12.
Guests from around the world have also been invited for the Prime Minister's swearing-in ceremony including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
Notably, the BJP has not got a clear mandate this time and relies of its alliance partners to cross the majority mark. BJP won 240 seats, while NDA collectively bagged 293 seats.
On the other side, the INDIA bloc proved all exit poll predictions wrong and did a fabulous job by adding 234 seats to its kitty, including Congress' 99.
JDU and TDP have emerged as kingmakers this time with 12 and 16 seats respectively.
