A Day After EC Announced Poll Dates, Mahayuti Govt Releases 2-Year Report Card
As the countdown for the Maharashtra elections has started, the Mahayuti government led by Eknath Shinde on Wednesday released its report card to showcase the development activities carried out by the government in the last two years.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar along with Ramdas Athavale, Sunil Tatkare, Sadashiv Khot, Pravin Darekar and Prasad Lad attended the event.

Addressing a joint press conference a day after the Election Commission announced the poll dates, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde criticised the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alleging them of working with an "anti-development vision".
Speaking at the event, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis lashed out at the Opposition parties over questioning the law and order situation in the state following the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui.
"The alliance (Maha Vikas Aghadi) whose home minister went to jail for accepting a bribe of Rs 100 crore, who planted bombs outside a businessman's house, who were picking up journalists and putting them behind bars, are telling us about the law and order situation... Nirbhaya Squad vehicles were being used to escort their leaders in their government... These people who were the most careless about women's safety and security should not teach us how to keep our Nari Shakti safe," ANI quoted him as saying.
Talking about the schemes announced by the government, Fadnavis said, "We have announced all the schemes, made all the financial provisions and budget for those schemes and not only this, we will also announce some new schemes and benefits for everyone in our manifesto.
I assure you that all the schemes and promises announced by us will have full support of financial provision and no scheme will lack financial support from our side. Initially when we announced the Ladki Bahin Yojana, people from the opposition were claiming that money would not be deposited in the accounts, but till now at least 4 to 5 instalments have been deposited in the accounts of more than 2.5 crore beneficiaries of our state..."
On his turn, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar claimed that the Mahayuti has tried to give justice to all sections of the society. He added, "We tried to give justice to each community. This report reflects the change we have brought in the lives of the people of Maharashtra. Fake narratives are being set by the Opposition.
They had claimed that elections will be held in two-three phases. But it is the right and prerogative of the Election Commission. Report card 2022 is presented in front of you. Today, 2.5 crore women are given instalments of Laadki Bahin Yojana. This has created confusion amid the Opposition which tried to spread rumours about us. We have already made financial allocation for the implementation of Laadki Bahin Yojana for one year."
Maharashtra will vote in a single phase on November 20 and votes will be counted on November 23.
