855 missing children recovered during 'Operation Smile': Police
Lucknow, Feb 6: Uttar Pradesh police has recovered a total of 855 missing children during operation 'Smile' and handed them over to their parents, a senior official said here today.
"During the operation 'Smile', 855 missing children were found and were handed over to their families," IG, Law and Order, A Satish Ganesh told reporters here.

He said 381 children were found in Meerut zone, while 301 were found in Agra zones. The campaign, an initiative of Ghaziabad Police and adopted by the Centre at the national level, was carried out between January 1 to January 31.
The details of recovered children would be uploaded on missing child portal of Women and Child Welfare department, he added.
