80 sheep die, 200 sick after consuming contaminated water in Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, Jul 25: Nearly 80 sheep have died in the last two days after consuming contaminated water from a public tank in this district, officials said today.

Around 80 sheep died and 200 others fell sick after consuming contaminated water from the tank in Dhanoli village, Malkhan Meena, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Jaisalmer said.

A team from the department has been dispatched to the village, 80 km from here, for the treatment of the affected animals, Meena said.
