8 held in Gujarat for putting up anti-Modi posters
The Crime Branch of Ahmedabad Police has arrested eight people for putting up posters with "objectionable slogans" against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public places and government properties in Gujarat.
The police said that the accused have put up posters with slogans like "Modi Hatao Desh Bachao" written, on them in various parts of the city on March 30 in an unauthorised manner, according to a report in ANI.

Meanwhile, Aam Admi Party (AAP) State president Isudan Gadhvi has claimed that the cops have arrested its party workers and alleged that the police action shows that the BJP is scared.
"Look at the dictatorship of BJP! Our party workers in Gujarat have been jailed under various Sections of IPC in connection with the posters of Modi hatao desh bachao! If this is not fear of Modi and BJP, then what else? Try as hard as you want! Our workers will fight," he tweeted.
Meanwhile, AAP has launched a poster campaign in 22 States, including Gujarat. At a press conference on Thursday, party's State convener Gopal Rai targeted PM Modi alleging he is engaged in ending the country's democratic system instead of fixing the education-health system and removing unemployment.
Posters in English, Hindi and all other regional languages are being put up across the country, he clarified. Rai also informed that from April 10, similar posters would be put up at all universities across the nation to make students aware about the campaign.
The party had even held a big rally under the same slogans at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi addressed by Chief Ministers Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. "This campaign aims at sending the message across the nation about how PM Modi failed in fulfilling his promise to farmers, took away the rights of labourers, suppressed students in universities," Rai alleged.
