8 die as petrol tanker explodes on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway

According to a Times of India report, the driver of the tanker Ram Yadav (42) was heading towards Mumbai. He crossed the Charoti naka and moved ahead, when he lost control of the vehicle. It was at around 2.30pm the vehicle exploded.
Four auto-rickshaws, two cars, seven to eight two-wheelers were charred in the mishap.
The dead are Ramu Ravte (35), Bebibegum Rasai (45), Anjali Boba (14), 0sanjita Bhuzad (10), 0dnyaneshwar Chawan (55), Bhushan. Sankhe and Sunil Umbarsada. They were travelling in the auto.
The bodies and the injured have been taken to the Kasa Primary health centre, where the bodies will be taken for DNA analysis.
