Matters at a standstill
A meeting of the National Anomaly Committee was to be held in October. However that was postponed and what is worse is that no new date has been fixed. Is NAC, Non Action Committee
It has been a year since the NAC was set up. Forget taking a decision, no proper meeting too has taken place. The main issue for it is to conclude the pay hike report. One one hand the Finance Minister assures that there would be a positive decision and on the other, the NAC has not decided anything as of now. What is the reason behind this inaction, CG employees have asked. Is the government even interested in giving the hike. However some officials say that the NAC will recommend the pay hike from Rs 18,000 to Rs 21,000. The question is when? The NAC is functioning as a non action committee, some say.
