7th Pay Commission: Hike in salary for Odisha employees by Dushera
The announcement will come out before the Puja begins.
There is good news for the state government employees as a pay hike as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission is round the corner. Chief Minister of Odisha will enforce the pay panel's recommendations and the pay hike will be given by Dushera.

The announcement will come out before the Puja begins. The report submitted by the State Fitment Committee is under scrutiny for the government to take decision accordingly, Finance Minister Sashi Bhushan Behera said. He also hinted on the implementation of 7th Pay Commission as soon before the Durga Puja. This hike will increase the financial burden of Rs 5,500 crore on the state treasury.
If the State government follows the Central government pattern for implementing the hike, the overall salary will increase by 23 per cent. The government is likely to implement the pay hike and arrears from 2016.
