Kolkata, March 18: Days after the shameful incident at Ranaghat in West Bengal, chilling information about the rapists have come out. Now, it has been revealed that after raping the 71-year-old nun, the culprits celebrated their crime by having cakes, chocolates, pastries and other sweets.

The Indian Express quoted a source as saying, "They tied up two of the sisters in a room and dragged the septuagenarian nun to another room."

"After committing the crime, they returned and appeared remorseless. They then started opening the refrigerators and took out the food items, including chocolates, cakes, pastries and other sweets meant for the students. Those were brought by a sister who recently went abroad," the daily added while quoting the source.

The assailants, who are yet to be arrested, attacked and raped the 'oldest' nun present in the convent school around 2 am. Later they reportedly had said, "aab kuch khana-peena ho jaye (let's have some food)." [Who is the senior-most nun?: West Bengal convent looters and rapists]

Around 4:30 am, all culprits threw away foods which they could not consume and broke all doors and cabinets.

While police sources claimed that all assailants were not locals, other sources confirmed that they all were hired to execute the pre-planned crime. [Nun gangrape in Bengal: 7 questions that have kept the investigators busy]

Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) sent a notice to Mamata Banerjee's government in the state. The NHRC gave the state government two weeks time and sought a reply on all details relating to the incident.
