70 teachers found absent from duty in Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar, July 5: 70 teachers of government-run primary schools were found absent from duty during checking by a team of the education department in the district, an official said today.

"During checking in different government-run primary schools yesterday, 70 teachers were found absent from duty. One day's salary would be deducted of the absentee teachers," District Education offical K K Singh told reporters here.

The teachers have been warned and strict action would be taken against them if they found absent again, he said.
