7 coaches of Amrapali Express derail near Khagaria (Bihar)

Patna, Dec 20: In yet another train accident, seven coaches of Katihar-Amritsar Amprapali express were derailed. The train was passing through Katihar in Bihar here on early morning.

However, no casualties have been reported so far. Five sleeper coaches and two AC classes coaches were reportedly derailed.

The derailment happened when train left Pasraha station around 1 am, according to a news agency.

Meanwhile, district officer as well as Railway officer have reached the spot and have started operating on the coaches which got derailed.

Following the incident, Anil Saxena, the Railway PRO said, "some trains from Katihar-Malda-Jamaldaha to Patna are being diverted and some passenger trains are being cancelled."
