63 people fall ill after consuming laddoos
Lucknow, Aug 11: More than 60 people were taken ill after consuming laddoos in Nakkhas area here and had to be hospitalised, officials said on Tuesday.
As many as 63 people were admitted to different hospitals last night after they complained of uneasiness after consuming laddoos distributed by their neighbour after a match for their daughter was finalised, the officials said.

While 47 persons were admitted to Balrampur hospital, eight others were admitted to the trauma centre, of whom seven were discharged this morning, they said, adding eight others were admitted to a private hospital.
"All of them are now out of danger but have been kept under observation," a police officer said. The laddoos were purchased from a local sweetmeat shop, the officials said, adding that the chief food inspector has collected samples of sweets from the shop as well as those which were distributed for test.
