6 naxals killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh

At least six naxals killed were killed by security forces in an encounter in Abhujhmargh Prahaar in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on Monday evening.

Narayanpur district is insurgency-hit are in the state. Last month seven naxals were arrested along with a firearm and some explosives.

They were allegedly tasked with collecting ration for ultras, arranging a meeting of villagers, spreading maoist propaganda and planting IEDs to harm security forces.
