40 Blinkit Riders Assaulted My Father, Brother...: Ghaziabad Woman Alleges In A Viral Video

A woman from Ghaziabad has alleged that her father and brother were attacked by a group of 30-40 BlinkIt delivery partners in Rajinder Nagar Sector 3. Mansi M, the woman, shared her account on LinkedIn, stating that her family members were assaulted at a Blinkit store in their residential building.

According to Mansi, the incident escalated when her father tried to mediate a dispute between delivery executives and residents. Instead of calming down, the situation worsened. "Yesterday, the tension reached a boiling point," she said. Her father was returning home when he attempted to intervene but faced violence instead.

Allegations of Assault

Mansi described how the delivery riders allegedly locked her father and brother inside the store and attacked them with bats and sticks. She claimed that some of these items were sold on Blinkit's platform. Her brother suffered severe injuries to his chest and head, while her father, who has a heart condition, was also assaulted.

The family has filed an FIR following this incident. Mansi urged Zomato's Deepinder Goyal and Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa to take immediate action. She requested that such stores be relocated away from residential areas to prevent further incidents.

Community Concerns

Mansi expressed concerns about the safety of her community due to the ongoing situation at the Blinkit location. She mentioned that what was once a peaceful neighbourhood has turned into a place of chaos and intimidation. The presence of the store has posed serious risks to residents' safety.

She also highlighted continuous threats from store staff towards her family. As a girl living above the store, she faced abuse whenever she asked them not to use foul language. This constant intimidation has left them living in fear.

CCTV Evidence

Mansi shared CCTV footage showing her family being hit with bats during the attack. She attached photos of those involved in what she called an appalling incident. Despite these allegations, neither Blinkit nor Zomato have responded publicly or issued any official statement regarding this matter.

Mansi's post included an appeal for action against such violent behaviour by delivery executives. She stressed that this threat extends beyond her family to everyone residing nearby. The lack of response from Blinkit or Zomato remains notable as they have yet to address these claims.
