Shocking! 4-year-old girl raped by teenaged neighbour

Korba (C'garh), Oct 26: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a minor boy in Manikpur region of Chhattisgarh's Korba district, following which the accused was arrested today, police said.

As per the complaint lodged by the victim's family, the accused, 13, who was the girl's neighbour, lured her on the pretext of giving her chocolate while she was watching a devotional performance in their locality last night, Yadumani Sidar, SHO, City Kotwali police station, said.

He then raped her, he said. When the victim's mother found injuries on the girl's private parts this morning, the family approached the police, the SHO said.

The accused was booked under relevant sections of the IPC and under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and was arrested today, he said. Further investigation is on, he said.
