4 killed, 2 injured in car mishap in U'khand

Pithoragarh, Apr 17: Four people were killed and two others were grievously injured when the car in which they were travelling fell in a ditch in Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand today.

"The accident occurred when the driver lost control over the vehicle, near Banspathan in the district. Three people died on the spot and one at the hospital," District Disaster Management Officer, Pithoragarh, RS Rana said.

All the passengers in the car were from the same family and were returning home after offering prayers at Kotgari temple, Rana said.

"The injured have been taken to Berinag hospital and the bodies have been sent for postmortem," he said.
