4 Army men martyred, 2 terrorists killed in Kashmir’s Gurez

Bandipora, Aug 7: Four Army men were martyred and two terrorists were killed following a fierce gun battle at the Gurez valley in North Kashmir.

Sources tell OneIndia that that the gun battle began after the the Army's Rashtriya Rifles spotted 8 terrorists. The forces managed to gun down two terrorists, while four others retreated. Two are still believed to be hiding and the encounter is on.

A Major and three soldiers were however martyred in the incident. They have been identified as Major K P Rane, Havaldars Jamie Singh, Vikramjeet and rifleman Mandeep.
