4,824 missing children found in Haryana: Police
Gurgaon, Aug 1: A total of 4,824 missing children have been recovered during a month-long drive 'Muskaan' in Haryana, a top police official said here on Saturday.
Gurgaon police commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said of these 4,824 children, 1,094 belonged to Gurgaon alone.

Virk said 809 missing children were reunited with their parents while 22 were sent to shelter homes.
"Though I don't have the national figures yet but I am confident that Gurgaon police have performed the best in the country, comparing per capita population ratio to number of missing children recovered," Virk said.
"The whole operation has given a boost to the image of Gurgaon Police and we are receiving good wishes from people from all walks of life," the police commissioner added.
