32 killed in lightning strikes in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Jul 31: At least 32 people were killed after being struck by lightning in different parts of Odisha in last two days.
The Odisha Disaster Management Control Room said that 32 people have lost their lives due to lightning in different districts of the state since yesterday. The maximum number of eight deaths were reported from Bhadrak district, while seven persons died in Balasore district, five in Khurda, and three in Mayurbhanj, it said.

The rest of the casualties were reported from other districts. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed the special relief commissioner to provide assistance to the bereaved families, the CM's office said in a statement yesterday.
