3 youths held for murder of girl,

Bokaro (Jharkhand), July 11: Three youths have been arrested today in connection with the killing of a 15-year-old girl who was strangulated last evening in her home in Bokaro district, police today said.

The girl, Soni, the niece of one Mansukh Sultania, was alone at home in Chas Patel Nagar when the three youths entered with the intention to loot last evening, Superintendent of Police, Y S Ramesh said.

The accused youth, identified as Ashish Pathak, who was the son of her house-owner, along with two accomplices Abhilash Banerjee and Golu Karmakar, 'strangulated' her to death when the teenager resisted their move, he said.

The accused have confessed their crime, he said adding that three mobile phones, a motorcycle, two rings of gold, silver chain tops and Rs.22,000 in cash was recovered from them.
