Bihar: 3 sleeping on pavement crushed to death by truck

Begusarai (Bihar), Nov 17: Three persons were killed and four injured when a speeding truck ran over them in an area under Town police station in this district on Tuesday, Nov 17.

Some sugarcane sellers were sleeping on a pavement and the truck ran over them killing three on the spot early this morning, Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar said.

All the victims had come to the area from a village nearby to sell sugarcane on the occasion of Chhath puja, he said.

The injured were admitted to the sadar hospital. The driver of truck managed to flee with the vehicle, the SP said.
