2K villages would be developed across the country: Ashok Gajapati Raju
Vizianagaram (AP), Jul 25: Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju today said that around 2,000 villages adopted by MPs will be developed into model villages with cooperation from the people.
Raju, today visited Dwarpundi village, which he has adopted under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY).

Speaking to reporters, he said two thousand villages would be developed under the SAGY in the next five years in the country.
"All Parliament members should adopt three villages in five years under the scheme (SAGY)," he said.
The scheme was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15.
