The intelligence bureau had alerted the police of all states to be on high alert. It had stated in its warning that some persons may try and disrupt peace and harmony in an attempt to protest the visit by French President Francois Hollande. The French President has been on the radar of the ISIS.

Yesterday the French consulate in Bengaluru had received a letter warning against the visit of Hollande. The letter signed as al-Qaeda was sent to the consulate from Chennai. The Bengaluru police is probing the case although it appears to be a hoax.
