23-Year-old woman gangraped in moving car

Ludhiana, March 9:A 23-year old woman was gangraped in a moving car as she was returning after seeing another female friend off. She was abducted by unidentified men from Raj Guru Nagar locality where she stayed as a paying guest.

According to police, the survivor testified that when she was returning, a car stopped close to her and the occupants dragged her inside. She said that there were three people and two of them raped her. She was later dropped at a nearby place.

A case of abduction and gangrape has been registered against three unidentified men and footage from a nearby CCTV camera is being checked. The girl was sent for a medical check-up and reports confirmed her statement. As per the latest developments, a suspicious car was found roaming in the area. Efforts are on to nab the accused.
