20-year-old male elephant electrocuted in Kerala
Wayanad (Ker), Aug 18: A 20-year-old male elephant was found electrocuted near Tirunelli in North Wayanad Forest Division today, forest officials said.
The officials suspect the pachyderm may have come into contact with a live wire nearby while trying to break branch of a tree inside the forest at Appapara last night.
A team of forest personnel on patrol found the elephant's body this morning.
