Lok Sabha polls 2014: 20.4 percent voting in Mizoram till 10 am

While long queues were seen in some polling stations in Aizawl even before polling began at 7 am, there were some polling stations where voters turned up late.
Ruling Congress nominee and sitting MP C. L. Ruala and his main rival Robert Romawia Royte, an independent candidate sponsored by the United Democratic Front (UDF), an alliance of eight opposition parties were among the first voters to cast their votes.
While Ruala exercised franchise at Tuikhuahtlang polling station in Aizawl South-II assembly segment at 7 am, Royte cast his ballot at Chhinga Veng polling station within the Aizawl East-II Assembly at around the same time.
