Chennai: Two women rescued from flesh trade; Goondas Act for pimp

On specific information, police conducted a raid in Chetpet area, arrested Davidraj and rescued the two women. Investigations revealed that Davidraj had been arrested for the third time this year alone on charges of pushing women into flesh trade and hence was detained under the stringent Goondas Act and lodged in the central prison at Puzhal, they said.
The two women have been sent to government home at Mylapore, police added.
