2 suspected terrorists nabbed in Noida
New Delhi, Jan 2: Two persons with alleged terror links have been held at Noida. While one is a Bangladeshi national the other is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and the police claim that they had plans of carrying out a series of blasts across the country.
The duo Rakatulla and Abdul Aziz after being questioned by the Intelligence Bureau have been taken into custody by the West Bengal ATS.
Plan to bomb cities:
According to the investigation these two men had planned on carrying out a series of blasts in and around the Delhi area. Their laptop revealed details about this sinister plot.
During their questioning it was found that there were many more operatives in India who had the same agenda.
Burdhwan link?
The West Bengal ATS which has taken them into custody are trying to find out if they had any role in the Burdhwan module. The NIA which is probing the Burdhwan blasts case had shared information regarding several persons believed to be involved in anti national activities.
The West Bengal ATS will also grill these two persons to find out if they had any role to play in West Bengal. The investigations would however be jointly conducted with the NIA.
