2 persons booked for posting 'offensive' picture of Modi on WhatsApp in UP
In Uttar Pradesh, two persons were booked for allegedly posting offensive picture of PM Narendra Modi on social media.
Lucknow, Sep 5: In Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, two persons were booked for allegedly posting an "offensive" picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media on Monday.
Officials said a case has been registered in this regard. The controversial picture of Modi was allegedly posted on WhatsApp.

The case was filed after a complaint was lodged by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogender Choudhry, who led a protest over the matter, at Mansurpur police station in the district.
A senior district administration official said a case was registered against the two, including the administrator of a WhatsApp group, under IPC Section 505 (intent to incite any class or community of persons to commit any offence against any other class or community) and relevant provision of the IT Act.
In the recent times, we have seen many cases were filed against people from various parts of the country for allegedly posting objectionable pictures of PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
