Jammu, June 16: Two persons were killed and 21 others injured when a minibus skidded off the road and rolled down a deep gorge in Doda district of

.

The minibus, which was on its way to Doda, rolled down a 200ft deep gorge after skidding off the road in Bagwa belt of the district this morning, said Additional Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Sharma.

Two persons died on the spot while 21 others were injured in the accident, he added. Police and locals rushed to the spot and immediately launched a search and rescue operation, he said, adding that the bodies have been recovered and the injured taken to hospital.

Five of the critically-injured passengers have been airlifted to SKIMS in Srinagar for specialised treatment.
