2 booked for assaulting electricity dept team in UP

Etah (UP), Jul 27: Two persons have been booked for allegedly assaulting and threatening a team of Electricity Department officials in Marehara town here, police said on Monday.

Junior Engineer of Electricity department, Dhan Raj Singh complained that on getting caught pilfering power, one Bhola and his friend yesterday beat them up and threatened to kill them, they said.

On the basis of his complaint, an FIR has been lodged for beating the team and creating hindrance in government work, they said. No arrests have been made in this connection yet, they added.
