2 Army Jawans Killed, 6 Terrorists Shot Down In J&K Twin Encounters
The encounters in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Saturday resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and six terrorists. The incidents occurred in the villages of Modergam and Chinigam.
In Modergam, Lance Naik Pradeep Nain, a para commando, was killed during an operation launched based on intelligence inputs.

Security forces managed to corner at least two to three terrorists in their hideout, leading to a gunfight where two terrorists were killed.
The second encounter in Frisal Chinigam village involved Havaldar Raj Kumar of the 1st Rashtriya Rifles, who lost his life in the operation. The security forces had received a tip-off about possible Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in the area.
Upon their arrival, the forces were fired upon by terrorists hiding in a house, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire that resulted in the death of four terrorists.
Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, VK Birdhi, visited the encounter sites and confirmed that the anti-terror operations would continue.
Last month, two top commanders from The Resistance Front, an offshoot of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, were trapped in a house during a gunfight with security forces in Pulwama district.
