1993 Mumbai blasts accused Yakub Memon to be hanged on July 30
Mumbai, July 15: Yakub Abdul Razak Memon, mastermind of 1993 Mumbai blasts likely to be hanged at the end of this month. Report says that a death warrant has been issued against Memon, who was convicted in the blasts by the Supreme Court.

Reportedly, Memon will be hanged on July 30, if President rejects his mercy petition on July 21.
Memon, 53, is one of the prime accused in March 12, 1993 Mumbai serial bombs explosion. Currently he is lodged in Nagpur Central Jail.
In 2007, a special TADA Court in Mumbai had awarded him death sentence for his role of arranging for finances for the carrying out the 13 serial blasts which left 257 dead and over 700 injured across the city.
Subsequently, Memon - the brother of one of the main absconding accused Tiger Memon - appealed against the sentence in the Bombay High Court, Supreme Court and later filed a mercy petition with the president.
