1993 Blasts: After Yakub Memon, now another Yakub, Dawood's close aide, dies

Mumbai, Aug 7: Just one week after Yakub Memon's execution, another 1993 blasts conspirator reportedly died. Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria on Friday, Aug 7 stated that Yakub Wali Mohammad Khan alias Yeda Yakub died.

Yeda Yakub, was one of the main conspirators of 1993 serial blasts and was considered as Dawood Ibrahim's close aide, died of massive heart attack.

Yeda reportedly died in Karachi, Pakistan on Wednesday, Aug 5. Yeda, who had fled to Pakistan after 1993 Mumbai blasts, is survived by his wife and two sons.

His wife and two sons still live in Mumbai. It has been reported that Yeda's two sons have been running a large-scale illegal construction company company by the name of MK Builders in the financial capital.

Reports about Yeda's death surfaced almost a week after Yakub Memon's hanging in Nasik Central Jail on July 30.

Yakub Memon, brother of Tiger Memon, was the sole convict who was given death penalty (capital punishment) in connection with the serial blasts which had killed 257 and injured many across the city.

Tiger Memon was the mastermind who plotted, financed and executed the blasts as a revenge of riots in which his smuggling business was affected.
