18 injured in communal clash in UP

The incident took place late last night when members of two communities clashed during a fair over some dispute involving their children, they said.

Pratapgarh (UP), Nov 2: At least 18 persons were injured in a communal clash at Veerpura Bazar in Fatanpur area here, police said today.

Both the factions resorted to brick batting, firing and tried to torch huts, resulting in injuries to over 18 persons, Superintendent of Police S P Verma said.
