16-Year-Old Gangraped By 3 In Delhi's Shahbad Dairy Area, 3 Arrested

A 16-year-old girl was gang raped in Shahbad Dairy area of Delhi on June 27. Three people have been arrested by police.

The incident took place on the night of June 27. According to Delhi police, the victim was in the park with her friend when three boys reached there, dragged her into a secluded area, and raped her. The victim's friend raised an alarm, but the accused fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. On receiving the complaint, the police registered an FIR and arrested the three accused. Further investigation is underway.

This is the third such incident in the area in the last two months.

Earlier on May 28, a 16-year-old girl was brutally stabbed more than 20 times by her jilted lover right outside her home. The murder was captured on CCTV.

The Delhi Police has launched a crackdown on crimes against women and children. In the last two months, the police have arrested over 1,000 people for crimes against women and children. However, the number of such incidents continues to be high.
