15 Indian fishermen detained by Sri Lankan navy
Colombo, Sept 22: At least 15 Indian fishermen have been detained by Sri Lankan navy, media reported on Tuesday.
They have been taken to Kangesan Port in Sri Lanka for inquiry.
On Monday, Sri Lankan fishermen refused a talk offer by their Indian counterparts to visit them and discuss their issues, including poaching.

They termed it a futile effort to solve the issue.
"When the prime ministers of the two countries could not sort out the problem, how can we fishing community representatives resolve," said Vinayagamurthi Sahadevan, a Sri Lankan fishing organisation official.
Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe paid a visit to India. It was his first official visit abroad since winning the parliamentary election in August.
