14-yr-old sets self ablaze after being gangraped

Mathura, April 22 :A 14-year old minor allegedly set herself on fire in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district after she was gangraped by five men from her neighborhood. She sustained 70% burn injuries and has been taken to Delhi's Safdarjung hospital.

Although the girl was gangraped on Sunday when she had gone out of the house to use the toilet, her parents tried to hush the incident up.

Following this, the girl put kerosene on herself on Tuesday and set herself ablaze at home. Her brother said,"when I woke up, I saw her in flames... I poured water on her to put out the flames." A neigbour said,"we heard her screaming for help". The police have arrested the five accused including a minor and have filed a case of rape.
