14 dead in fire at a ration shop in Madhya Pradesh
The fire broke out at a kerosene distribution centre.
Fourteen people were charred to death in a fire at a ration shop in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district on Friday. Four people are said to be injured in the incident out of which three are serious.
The exact cause behind the origin of fire is yet to be ascertained.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced ex gratia of Rs. 4 lakhs for the next of kin of those killed in the fire and Rs 50,000 to those who are seriously injured.
According the reports, the fire broke out at a kerosene distribution centre and rapidly spread in all directions.
