According to the police, the girl had gone missing the previous evening. When she didn't return home late at night, her family promptly alerted the authorities and initiated a search. The girl was eventually found in a jungle about a kilometer away from her home in Arkandi township, under the jurisdiction of the Maihar police station in Satna district.

The jungle is situated near the renowned Goddess Sharda temple in Maihar town, which draws pilgrims from various parts of the country.

After being found, the girl was taken by her family to the Maihar Civil Hospital. The news of the incident spread rapidly through the village, leading to an agitated crowd gathering at the hospital. However, prompt action by the police and district officials prevented the situation from escalating further.

He demanded that the chief minister ensure the girl receives the best possible treatment and immediate financial assistance of Rs 1 crore.

The incident has sparked outrage and calls for swift action to address the safety and security concerns of women in the region.
