100 Students Join AAP's Internship Programme to Support Election Campaign in Jungpura

Manish Sisodia, a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, announced that 100 students have joined an internship programme. These interns will assist in the election war room for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections and support his campaign in the Jangpura constituency. The initiative aims to provide practical insights into election processes and leadership dynamics.

Students Intern for AAPs Jungpura Campaign

The internship, named "Internship with Manish Sisodia," began on December 21. It was designed to offer young people a hands-on experience of how elections are conducted and how democracy functions effectively. Sisodia expressed his enthusiasm for involving college students in this learning opportunity.

Internship Selection and Responsibilities

A statement revealed that approximately 1,000 students from across India applied for this internship. Out of these, 100 were chosen to manage various aspects of the election campaign. Their responsibilities include handling war rooms, back rooms, research rooms, conducting field research, campaigning, and engaging with the public.

Sisodia shared his experience of interacting with the interns. He noted that students from diverse educational backgrounds have joined him. These include those studying social work, B.Tech, technology, marketing, and engineering. They hail from different parts of India such as Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and southern states.

Learning Opportunities for Interns

Sisodia stated, "I had posted on social media that I am contesting elections from Jangpura and would love for the youth, especially college students, to join me and do an internship." He emphasised the importance of understanding how leaders work and how elections serve as a powerful democratic tool.

He hopes that over the next month or so, these interns will not only develop leadership skills but also provide valuable feedback. The experience is expected to deepen their understanding of the electoral process and democracy itself.

Sisodia added that he is optimistic about the impact this internship will have on the participants. He believes they will gain significant learning experiences and insights into public thinking and electoral challenges.

The programme aims to equip young individuals with knowledge about how leaders operate within a democratic framework. It encourages them to observe closely and learn from real-world political scenarios.
