The 17th Assam Legislative Assembly Elections 2011 is scheduled to be held between the two major political parties in the state, the BJP and Congress. The elections will determine the political leanings of the Assamese and their judgement on Congress' rule in the state. 126 Assembly constituencies in Assam will go for elections this year.
